Becca and Jonathan came from the UK to Nerja, Spain for their destination wedding. It was a perfectly chosen venue at the beach with amazing rock formations and photos just after sunset… a photographer’s dream!

Becca contacted me within days of another Rebecca & Jonathan contacting me about her destination wedding in Spain. I managed to not realize they were two different couples, and emailed them both back a few times thinking it was the same wedding! Becca was very understanding as I sent her the wrong details on the contract before realizing it was two wedding inquiries… both coming from a Rebecca and Jonathan for their destination weddings! Luckily, once I met them, there was no confusing them anymore! Without further adieu, here is Becca and Jonathan’s wedding, not to be confused with “Rebecca and Jonny” who got married in Mijas!

Thank you for inviting me to share in your special day. It was a pleasure to be a part of it! All the best for your future!

As for my recommendations – Nerja is an amazing place to have your wedding ceremony. You’ll probably see a lot of tourist info if about the Balcon de Europa (which is just a skip and a jump from this wedding) and the Nerja Caves… Both are must-see if you come visit this area!

Hey folks, just a quick post to share a beautiful couple with you!

Angela and Anthony came from New Zealand to Marbella Spain to get married in the groom’s brother’s villa.

Funny thing was, when Angela contacted me by email and told me the house they were getting married in, she had never been there before but sent me a map link. When I check it, I knew the EXACT HOUSE! I had driven by it many times and always admired it! It had an amazing keyhole doorway and Morrocan inspired design and I’d always wished I could get a better look beyond the fence. I couldn’t believe it when THAT was the villa!

What an amazing day and so full of emotion, laughter and happy tears! You two are so cute! All the best!

A very long engagement...

I got an email from Tommi requesting information about wedding photography for a small destination wedding, with just 5 people and the wedding officiant. I love shooting small weddings, so I was excited already… then I read on…  “We’ve been engaged already for 26 years and now finally decided to get married!”

What?! I had to read that again. Yep, I read it correctly…  engaged for 26 years! Now I KNEW I had to meet this couple!

Tommi and Kati lived in the Netherlands and had often visited Mijas, Spain on vacation, so it had special meaning to them. This was where they chose to get married and asked me if I could capture the memories for them

They had 3 boys, two nearly grown, and decided it was time to finally tie the knot, so they planned a trip back to Spain and made the arrangements for their big day! 

They got married in a tiny church in Mijas built into a rock cave. Such a stunning setting!

After a short ceremony (which was in Dutch, so I didn’t catch a word!) we went outside to capture a few photos.

Congratulations you two! I wish you all the best for the NEXT 26 years and beyond!
