I didn’t know how hard it was to choose a photographer until I had to find someone for my own wedding.

I looked at dozens and dozens of websites until finally, one stood out. Something about how she captured people, the emotions, and the vibrant colors made me feel like I was in the right place. It felt like “me”.

Planning a wedding is a big project and finding a photographer is no small task. Since you’ve made it this far, I hope my style resonates with you and you can stop searching!

My style is relaxed, timeless and artistic… I like images that are crisp and clear of distractions. I edit with true-to-life colors so the photos look vibrant and alive, and I give myself very high standards for my work because I know how important it is to the families who will treasure their photos for years to come.

About Me

Hi, I'm Naomi Maya... I'm a mom of two boys, and an optimist. (My family calls it "living in a bubble" because I don't like watching the news! But who needs all that negativity!?)

Here's a bit about me if you're curious!

I've very down-to-earth and love to meet new people. I've been fortunate enough to have travelled a fair amount, lived in Spain for 7 years, and moved back to Canada in 2019. I have a great appreciation for other cultures and other ways of life. My family comes from all over - my father is from Morocco, my mother's side is from Scotland. I have relatives from England, Spain and Israel, and my grandmother's ancestors were some of the first settlers in Victoria!

I feel that my biggest strength is reading people and being sensitive to what is needed in the moment and being adaptable to the situation I'm in.

Rather than trying to fit you into my style, and putting the same filter on every photo, I try to think of how I can add my artistic touch to your session and your uniqueness.

My goal is that your photos will take your breath away every time you look at them!

My mission is to celebrate the beauty in all living things. Through fine art photography and workshops, I hope to inspire a deep love for nature and a commitment to protect it. Let’s celebrate life’s milestones and the natural world, leaving a legacy of appreciation for generations.

I love the wilderness, mossy trees and the smell of the forest after it rains. I’ll venture anywhere for a photo and my shoes are never too fancy to get dirty.

Monica is a talented Mexican photographer who has called Victoria, B.C. home since 2020. With over 20 years in the field, her work has spanned urban and social photography, festivals, concerts, and artistic projects like album covers, theater posters, and portraits. Known for her keen eye and love of design, Monica brings a unique, creative touch to every project.

Prabatha

Prabatha recently moved to Victoria and quickly became an invaluable part of the team. With a sharp eye for detail and a natural talent behind the lens, he brings fresh perspectives to every shoot. His dedication and creativity add a unique energy to the weddings and events he captures alongside me.

Elijah

Elijah has called Vancouver Island home for many years, working with me whenever his busy schedule allows. An experienced photographer with a wealth of creative projects, Elijah brings both skill and a relaxed approach to the weddings he shoots with me, making him a wonderful addition to the team.
