Fine Art Photography

Images that celebrate the beauty in all living things

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, but every living being holds its own inherent worth.

My fine art photography aims to reveal the natural beauty and worth in even the smallest details, from humble weeds to tiny creatures often overlooked.

About Naomi

Naomi is an award-winning fine art & wedding photographer, wilderness enthusiast, and educator.

Her work has been described as ethereal and magical. She uses a hint of minimalism with uncluttered compositions and soft color palettes.

Her mission is to inspire others to protect and (re)connect with nature by sharing beautiful photographs of our amazing planet.

Naomi currently resides on the West Coast of Canada, on Vancouver Island.

A passion for (re)connecting with nature & purpose with her work

  • To celebrate the beauty in all living things, big or small
  • To help others detach from this fast-paced, high-tech world and (re)connect with nature
  • To inspire through photography, promoting personal growth, creativity, and joy

For much of my 40+ years on this earth, I struggled with the need to make everything perfect, especially myself. But behind a relatively successful exterior, I hid feelings of not being good enough and struggled with imposter syndrome for years. Today, I share my art to illuminate the inherent beauty in every living thing, including ourselves. Imperfections are what make us beautiful and we all are “perfect” in our very own way, a truth I’ve come to embrace.

Photography is more than freezing moments; it’s a gateway to self-expression. This may sound a bit unconventional, but I believe in the transformative power of nature photography. It’s an invitation to embrace quietness and create from a place of inner joy. Studies have shown that time in nature — as long as people feel safe — is an antidote for stress. I encourage you to pursue your artistic passion in the great outdoors, whatever that may look like for you.

Meaningful journeys are rarely easy, and like most of you reading this, mine has been filled with unexpected peaks and valleys. Photography has always been there for me to help me through my lowest points. And, while my journey is far from over, I am grateful for every moment I get to live in this beautiful world.

Thank you for being here and exploring my artwork.

When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll probably still find a camera in my hand. In my “off-time” I love to photograph nature, specifically the forest and the wilderness of Vancouver Island.

Below is a selection of my favourite images taken over the last decade or so. Most of them are from Vancouver Island, but many come from around or near my previous home in San Pedro, Spain.
